HVAC&R Exporters Attended Pakistan HVAC Fair Turkish HVAC&R Exporters Association (İSİB) attended HVAC Expo Fair which took place on 13-15 February 2019 in Karachi, Pakistan. Turkish companies were the center of attention throughout HVAC Expo, which is alternately organ- ized in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad every year. İSİB has quite a busy fair schedule this year to accomplish its overarching objec- tive to increase sectoral exports and to ensure Turkish HVAC&R sector is more powerful and competitive in global mar- kets. As part of this busy agenda, İSİB organized the participation of national delegation to Pakistan HVAC Expo. 11 Turkish firms attended the fair, where İSİB had an info booth to advertise and promote Turkish HVAC&R sector. Zeki Poyraz and Metin Duruk, Vice Presi- dents of İSİB Board of Directors, attend- ed the opening ceremony of the fair to- gether with representatives of the sector and held various meetings with high-lev- el representatives of Pakistani HVAC&R Sector. A day before the fair started, İSİB officials also had lunch with Mr. Tolga Uçak, Karachi Consul General, to discuss further steps to boost trade be- tween Turkey and Pakistan in the long run as well as the Free Trade Agree- ment between Turkey and Pakistan that is expected to be completed soon. The meeting also provided a chance for İSİB officials to have talks with sectoral rep- resentatives from the USA, the UAE, Lebanon, Egypt and Pakistan. İSİB Attends Climate World Fair Commencement Ceremony Climate World Fair, which took place on 4-7 March, commenced with a ceremo- ny attended by Mr. Mehmet Şanal, Pres- ident of İSİB Board of Directors; Dimitry Kuzin, President of Russian HVAC&R In- dustry Association; Yuri Dobrovin, Pres- ident of Russian Cooling Industry As- sociation; Kirill Anisimov, Eurexpo CEO and Bikov Vladimir, Executive Director of Russian Chambers of Trade and Indus- try. The biannual fair opens its doors for the 15th time this year, attracting more than 250 companies who took part in the fair. Turkey was the partner coun- try on the previous occasion, which was organized two years ago. This year, 10 Turkish firms attended the fair. İSİB also had an information booth for partici- pants and visitors. Speaking on the oc- casion, Mehmet Şanal, President of the Board of Directors of Turkish HVAC&R Exporters Association, referred to the growing commercial relations between Turkey and Russia, and stated that the two countries have very deep-rooted re- lations. The two countries, Mr. Şanal said, are among the grandest civiliza- tions in the Eurasia region, and they are on track to establish a strategic part- nership: “I believe that these good re- lations will also be translated to econo- my and mutual trade. We as the Turkish HVAC&R sector are very happy to be a part of the Climate World Fair. I wish success to all of the participating com- panies in the fair. Mr. Şanal also invited his Russion counterparts to ISK Sodex Fair, the biggest HVAC&R Fair in Turkey. Speaking during the ceremony, Dimitry Kuzin, President of Russian HVAC&R In- dustry Association, stated that the num- ber and overall quality of the sectoral fairs are steadily increasing every year, and that HVAC&R sector is experiencing a very rapid growth in Russia. Turkish HVAC&R Sector Sets Eyes on Egypt Turkish HVAC&R Exporters Association (İSİB) has sent a Trade Delegation to Egypt, one of target markets of the As- sociation as part of endeavours towards expanding the market. The delegation consisted of 30 members and includ- ed high-level participants such as Zeki Poyraz, Vice President of Turkish Export Assembly and Vice President of İSİB as well as Metin Duruk, Vice President of İSİB.
